Cherry blossoms - also know as “sakura” in Japanese - are known throughout the world for their radiant and fleeting beauty. These delicate spring flowers which come in shades of white and pink have a life span of about a week embodying the impermanent nature of things - or “wabi-sabi” - a philosophy which takes center stage in Japanese culture.
With this beautiful woodblock print, Kyosen Kawasaki celebrates the beauty of pink cherry blossoms and as well as the ideals of hope and renewal they symbolize.
